Upcoming "Call For Artists" and Exhibits
May 4th Friday Opening- CALL FOR ART Theme: CRAYONS
YES! We are DOING IT! This month is all about exploring your inner child! Know somebody who has a dusty ol' box of crayons that could be put to good use? Make some art! Whether it's made with crayons or from crayons, we are all about colorful waxy creations and the materials that first gave us a taste of the creative process.
June 4th Friday Opening- Double Spotlight Show- Jake Fisher- Local Columbian Abstract Artist and Keith Jenkins
Jacob Fisher is a Columbia-based abstract artist inspired by the fusion of light and color in nature.

Upcoming Art Workshops
Open Figure Drawing
The Switchboard will be the new home to Open Figure Drawing here in Columbia on the second and 4th Thursdays of every month from 6-9PM starting February 9th.
Darren Jordan will be organizing and hosting these sessions so please direct all inquiries his way!
Artists are encouraged to bring their own art supplies and easels. Beer from the brewery downstairs always welcome.
$10 Cover
Elevator access through brewery.
For the off weeks that we don't have sessions in studio, (1st and 3rd Thursdays) artists are welcome to join Miss A at Hell in a Bucket Brewery in Wrightsville. Starting at 7PM, Bjorn Jacobsen hosts Open Mic with a very talented crew of local musicians that make for great models and quick figural sketches. The movement, speed, and music keep your brain from getting too caught up in little things.
Music and Art are developed in the same portion of the brain, it's always great to find ways to mesh the two. Get in the zone with other creatives!
See y'all very soon!
Kids Programs
The Switchboard currently offers regular monthly 2-hour paint events geared towards your little mini creators!
Switchboard Homeschool Programs are in the works! We are currently taking on reservations for private group classes here at the studio in Columbia. Some of our artists will travel for classes depending on the medium. We are able to offer art-history, painting, drawing, yoga, collage, pottery and clay.
Stay tuned for updates and e-mail the Switchboard at switchboardstudiosandgallery@gmail.com to request group sessions.
