Improv In A Hat
Welcome EVERYONE! Yes, we said everyone! Improv is for everyone of every acting ability, even those who have never stepped foot on stage before. Please join us on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month from 6:30pm - 8:30pm for Improv In A Hat! For two hours you can learn new skills, meet new people and play fun games! This particular recurring event is for everyone 18 years and older. Currently this is a free event to attend and registration is not required.
Think back to when you were a kid and played pretend. You'd create your own characters or mimic the ones you saw on TV or in books. Well...much to your surprise, that was in fact improv! If you’ve ever seen “Whose Line Is It Anyway” then you know exactly what improve is all about! Improv is all about discovery, pretending, personal experience and fun! There are also no mistakes and no wrong answers! Improvisation can be defined as; to create and perform without preparation which means there are no scripts!
Family Theatre Playhouse
Theatre by yourself can be quite lonely, so let's invite the family! Family Theatre Playhouse is a place where everyone of any age is welcome! Theatre is more than just acting. There is lighting and sound design, set design, costumes, stage combat and so much more! At Family Theatre Playhouse we hope to introduce you to all that theatre has to offer. On the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month from 6:30pm - 8pm we will circle up and play theatre games that will involve the whole family. This event is free to attend and registration is not required.
